Scott and I were married in December 2004. Mason joined our family in April 2007, Brynn in June 2009, Miles in December 2011, and Ellie in May 2013. Our world was turned upside down when we found out our little Ellie has a rare chromosome abnormality called Trisomy 4p. After struggling through her first few months of life she ended up with a trach and g-tube to help her breathe and eat. She is now home and I get to use my nursing degree in a way I never imagined I would as I learn to take care of my daughter. I use this blog to document our journey and share our story with other families who might be facing similar challenges.
