Watching my kids grow up is often times bitter sweet. It is fun watching them learn and grow, but I find it sad when something about them I love so much changes and is lost forever with their progress. Like when my babies are learning how to talk and say certain words in an incorrect, yet adorable, way, and then one day they learn how to say it correctly and I wish they would go back to saying it the old way because it always put a smile on my face. There are some things that seem to stick around a little longer, and for that I am grateful. One thing that has stuck around our house for the last 3 years is Mason's love of mowing the lawn with Scott. He was given a little lawn mower for his first birthday and fell in love instantly. Since then there has rarely been a time that Scott has mowed the lawn without his little shadow just a few steps behind.
It doesn't matter how many times I see it, (every week for 3 summers) it never gets old. I probably have more pictures and video footage of this site than any other thing in our lives. It's just something that makes my heart so happy. This year it got even better as Brynn joined in.
A little boy who wants to be just like his dad and a little sister who wants to be just like her brother.
I just love it!

Cutest pictures ever!!! Love them.
I'm responding to your comment that you just left on my blog - OH please! It doesn't matter ... for me it's all about timing and bribing and since it's something for me and I love to do it, so I bring out the big guns. The picture was also taken at our neighbors across the street who has fish in his front yard, so they actually wanted to be there. And we took them the second we put on their constumes, so they weren't tired of them yet. And I also had Brandon as my helper. :)
I seriously love these pictures so much. And I totally know what you mean about being sad when they pass certain stages. For the longest time Macie called bananas "po-ninas" and I never could bring myself to correct her because it was so cute. Then one day she started saying it right and I was like, dang! It's a silly little thing, but it means she's growing up. Someday you can take a picture of Scott, Mason, Brynn, and their little brother all in a row. :)
That is the cutest thing ever!! You are going to love having those photos down the road. I take photos of my kids obsessively for the same reason. I'm sure I have about 8,000 of the same scenes and the same shots but I just want to remember those cute things before they are long gone! So fun.
I'm going to combine my comments from another post and say congrats to Scott on the marathon!! That's so awesome. What a huge accomplishment. I'm still not sure I ever want to try that but it's encouraging to know that other people live to tell about it. :) Way to go!
Miss you guys. We need to catch up soon!
That is too cute!
